The Twins, facing financial constraints, have seemingly done little to strengthen their roster this winter, leading some to believe they might be open to trading their stars.
The Twins and Joe Ryan couldn't agree on a salary for the upcoming season, with a difference of just $500,000 separating their offers. This led to Ryan's removal from team events, signaling a potential rift. Ryan has two years of team control remaining, making him a valuable asset.
In the 2025 season, Ryan had a stellar performance, with a 3.42 ERA, a remarkable 10.21 K/9, and an impressive 2.05 BB/9 over 171 innings. He's an emerging ace, and he would be a perfect fit for the Angels' rotation.
But, there's a catch.
Acquiring Ryan would come at a steep price. The cost of starting pitchers with team control is astronomical.
