A beloved attraction has sadly come to an end, and its departure has sparked some interesting discussions among Disney enthusiasts. The ACE Avatar Making Experience, a unique feature within Disney's Animal Kingdom, has permanently closed its doors, leaving many fans curious about its replacement.
The ACE Avatar Experience, once a captivating journey into the world of Pandora, has now been transformed into a merchandise haven. After its closure, the area underwent a complete makeover, replacing the interactive kiosks with additional retail shelves and displays. Black curtains and baskets initially concealed the transformation, but now, a vibrant green curtain adds a touch of magic to the space, reflecting the vibrant colors of the shop.
In the heart of the former experience, a merchandise shelf now stands, offering guests a different kind of adventure. The wall adjacent to the registers is now adorned with an array of products, enticing visitors to explore. Back in October, curtains and stanchions hinted at the experience's permanent closure, and now, it's official.
The personalized Avatar figure experience was a one-of-a-kind journey. Guests were scanned, and then, with a few custom choices, they could create an Avatar that mirrored their own unique features. From body type to hair style and eye color, it was a fun way to become part of the Avatar world.
However, popularity didn't match expectations, and earlier this year, the experience was discounted, dropping from $79.99 to $50. There's been no official word on what might replace this space, leaving fans wondering about the future of this area.
