Norwich Theatre's Pantomime Captivates Global Audiences
Norwich Theatre Royal's annual Christmas pantomime, this year featuring Cinderella, attracted a diverse and international audience, with visitors traveling from 18 different countries. The five-week run saw approximately 50,000 people visit the city, contributing an estimated £5.3 million to the local economy. The cast, including Georgia May Foote and Danny Hatchard, brought energy and joy to the stage, reminding us of the power of theatre in bringing families together.
The production's impact extended beyond the stage, with 500 tickets gifted to children in care and their foster families, thanks to a partnership with the Norfolk County Council Fostering Service. An additional 2,000 tickets were donated to local charities, ensuring that the magic of the pantomime reached even more people.
The theatre's success has sparked excitement for the 2026/27 season, which will feature The All New Adventures of Peter Pan. Tickets are now available at a discounted price, promising another memorable and inclusive theatrical experience.
